14k Gold & Silver Catacombs Spinning Ring

Thesterling silver band was created from a photograph of the Catacombs in Paris, France. In this band you are seeing the detail of the stacked bones.

I had the pleasure of spending 5 weeks traveling across Europe with my mom and my daughter to celebrate my daughter graduating from UCLA. An important part of the trip for me was collecting amazing photographs that I could use in my art. We managed to visit 13 cities and I took 5000 photographs, so check back frequently for new additions.

Using a multi-step process which involves photographs or drawings, acid etching and centrifugal casting, a variety of pieces can be made.

For this ring a solid 14k gold channel ring is stretched to hold a sterling silver catacombs ring that allows the silver band to spin freely around the 14k gold band.

Band width is 6 mm and is a size 9.75.
